THIS MONTH @ 101 ADDISON
This is the winter jumpoff. New art from Nathan Kanne and Andrew Fiorillo. OPENS THIS SATURDAY. Afterparty + DRY SPELL at 2306 Maplewood Ave.
Welcome
Once again we find ourselves closing in on another year, tying up loose ends, undoing others, moving, staying, making plans, crossing arms. The weather gets colder and yet we still get restless in hibernation. This December I hope to exploit this restlessness to capture a years worth of faces collected larking about Richmond, Virginia.
The process involves the distribution of a brief survey to be completed by each participant. The survey will function as a conceptual cue for each portrait. Each participant will then have their photo taken on the date of their choice in the month December at 101 addison. The resulting prints will be installed and shown at 101addison in January.
What you will find on this blog is a stream of the visual progress. I will post outtakes from each shoot and anonymous surveys. Please stay tuned.
